Short explanation of the story and how it developed:

When the Newfoundland and Labrador NDP melted down in October 2013 it happened in real time, live on the St. John's Morning Show. The story broke the day before about a caucus split with the leader but the news really happened in Anthony Germain interviews when NDP caucus member George Murphy disassociated himself from the previous day's stand and broke down in tears in the studio. Another member of the caucus, Dale Kirby was hunted down by the desk and put up live where he said unflattering things about his soon-to-be-former caucus colleague.
