Short explanation of the story and how it developed:

On October 5, the New York Times published accusations against Harvey Weinstein. That story would eventually open a huge conversation about sexual harassment in the workplace, well beyond Hollywood. As it turns out, this includes women serving as MPs in the House of Commons. On October 11, we booked former MP Megan Leslie to talk about what she and other women faced daily in their workplace and invited listeners to share stories of when they were the target of sexual comments. The result was a revealing discussion about the behaviour of our political leaders and how even powerful women can be targeted.

Resources of the newsroom (money and time) available to complete the story:

Maritime Noon is a live, daily phone in program airing in Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick. The show has two employees, a host and producer. Together, they conceive, research and book daily news interviews and daily phone in segments.
