Short explanation of the story and how it developed:

The music we loved has the mysterious capacity to transport us in time and bring back memories of people, places and moments that have marked us. Researchers are trying to find how this phenomenum affect people with Alzheimer, dementia and other neurogical conditions. Three nursing homes in New Brunswick took part last year in a pilot projet where residents where given an ipod with a personalized music selection. The idea was to see if it can help better their qualitiy of life and even bring back memories. Le Foyer Notre-Dame near Edmundston in New Brunswick took part in the project. During a visit, we were able to witness the surprising impact old songs have on the residents and the amazement of the personnel.
