Short explanation of the story and how it developed: On December 13th of 2013, the NTV Evening Newshour began with a story from central Newfoundland revealing a teacher had been found guilty of luring 14-year-old student. What followed was a story from western Newfoundland on the province’s decision to ban Fracking and what it means, The newscast then returned to a class action law suit on moose accidents, followed news from the court which saw six people going to trial for a prison riot. the newscast returned to the west coast and central with stories on Marine Atlantic and a sunken ship leaking oil off a small island on the province’s northeast coast. Back in St. John's, a report on how social media helped to find a stolen car, and how fire impacted a couple living in housing. Later we covered the retirement of a police dog. |
