Short explanation of the story and how it developed:

Of all the world's problems, you'd think you'd think figuring out which coloured bag your trash should be stashed shouldn't be a problem. But when the local waste disposal commission finally started enforcing its own rules, it became the talk of the Greater Moncton area. Michael Richard LeBlanc thought it called for a reality check...one that would be best delivered by humour. The vehicle he chose was a faux detective character named Magnum NB, Private Dick from Nackawick. He assembled a performance and writing team and packaged a piece that scored with the audience.

Resources of the newsroom (money and time) available to complete the story:

Collaborators Marshall Button and Blair Lawrence were hired for their day's contribution to the piece. Michael, Blair and Marshall met over two nights to write the piece. It was recorded in the studio the next day and Michael spent the following day choosing music and sound effects and packaging.
