Short explanation of the story and how it developed: As the father of a curious five-year-old boy, I am constantly peppered with questions about the world and everything in it. Sometimes I get the answers right, sometimes I fail miserably. When my little boy looked up at me at the hockey rink and asked why people were cheering as the players brawled, I had no answer for him. All I had was a lie. |
