Short explanation of the story and how it developed: On daily basis, every member of the news team contributes, in some way, to the newscasts that air at the top of each hour. During the weekday morning show, the newscasts run each half hour. |

Resources of the newsroom (money and time) available to complete the story: The VOCM Newsroom employs 14 (13 full-time and 1 part-time) reporters, news anchors and web editors. The newsroom is staffed 19 hours per day, 5 days a week and 17 hours per day on the weekend. It took all the reports working the night before and the morning show team several hours to generate the news required to broadcast in this news package. |
