Short explanation of the story and how it developed: This story began with questions from my editor. Who was sabotaging PEI potatoes? And why? Although we were unable to answer either of those questions, the piece helped bring into focus the importance of the industry to the island and the deep divide between the province’s farmers and environmentalists. |
