Short explanation of the story and how it developed:

This cover photograph was commissioned to accompany the feature by Dr. Chadwick Williams on the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement for Atlantic Canada. We knew we needed an iconic photograph of this heroic doctor for such an important story. Photographer Denis Duquette did a beautiful job capturing it and Art Director Lindsay Vautour designed the cover in an eye catching and powerful way that ensured this cover really stood out on newsstands.

We are a small, privately owned, family run media brand based in New Brunswick. We produce the magazine without funding or investors. So, time and budget are always limited, but we work hard and strive to produce a world class magazine in order to compete with all of the big media companies across Canada and around the world.
